"Scanning services" refers to the process of digitizing a photograph and storing it on a Compact Disk. Photos are scanned at 300 dots per inch. A 4" x 6" photograph scanned at this resolution will result in an file size of approximately 200 to 300 kilobytes. Photocadabra uses a very light compression scheme when saving which produces an image that is perfect for printing.
The scanning service by itself DOES NOT include restoration of the image. The prices reflect an exact copy of what is scanned...scratches, teams, blemishes, etc. are not removed in this process. Image restoration prices are in addition if any image correction is requested.
Photocadabra offers discounts for scanning of more than 5 photos per order. Our regular price of $2 per photo can be considerably reduced for larger orders.
1 -5 photos - $2.00 per photo
6 - 75 photos - $1.00 per photo
76 and up - $0.75 per photo
Scanned photos are saved to CD in any file format you wish. Each CD is filled before the next is started. Cost of consumable goods are included in the scanning prices above except for 5 or less ($1.00 per CD).
